What we do
We are the Anti-Counterfeit Group Zimbabwe (ACGZ), founded in 2024, dedicated to combating counterfeit goods. By uniting industry, government, and consumers, we protect public health, support legitimate businesses, and foster innovation to stop the rise of fake products in Zimbabwe.
Private Sector Surveillance and Product Authentication
We equip members with tools to monitor and authenticate their products, including holograms and QR codes. Our market teams conduct regular sweeps to identify counterfeits, while we track and remove fake goods from the market
Whistleblower Program
We provide an anonymous whistleblower hotline to report counterfeit goods. Whistleblowers are protected under Zimbabwean law, encouraging consumers and stakeholders to report without fear of retaliation.
Collaborative Action
We bring together a network of experts, legal advisors, and enforcement officials to develop tailored strategies against counterfeiting. This partnership enhances responses across industries like electronics, agriculture, and cosmetics.
